Un"F'n"Sanctioned Results A Yearly Tradition of Excellence In Montreal, we have a venue that is known for showcasing the best independent wrestling that this city has to offer. We call it the Medley. In Quebec, there is an event which is considered the gala where the best of the best will compete. We call it Un F'N Sanctioned. In Canada, there is a main event legendary for its brutality, a match that ends careeers and changes lives. We call it Fans Bring the Weapons. At the International Wrestling Syndicate we consider this venue, this event, this match to be a commitment to the fans: to deliver on this night not just our best but the best. On Saturday, June 3rd we held our annual Un F'N Sanctioned gala, and once again our fans were delighted to witness what virtually all are calling the show of the year. We would like to thank the 739 fans who came out to see us live and who filled the Medley to the brim, and we would encourage those who couldn't make it to purchase the DVD from www.smartmarkvideo.com as soon as it is available. You won't be disappointed!

IWS Un F'N Sanctioned Detailed Results Un F'N Sanctioned began on fire literally as the Hardcore Ninjaz made their way to the ring and challenged 2.0 to a match by writing "2.0" on a table in lighter fluid and setting the table on fire. Despite a reputation for ducking challengers, 2.0 have actually defended the IWS tag team titles more often than any other IWS tag team champions. They demonstrated their mettle during this match coming close to defending their title on several occasions. In the end, the difference may have been that Jagged was paying more attention to not being set on fire by the Ninjaz leaving him unprepared for the Ninja ambush that led to his pin after 10:25. Hardcore Ninja Number One, now a four time IWS tag team champion, truly paid the price for his win... finishing the match covered in blood and singed from a burning table that Jagged reversed him into late in the contest. At this point, the lights of the Medley went out and the crowd went nuts expecting to see Sabu. They were bitterly disappointed to find Fred la Merveille in the ring butchering the U.S. National anthem. Fred introduced "Old School" Maxime Boyer who had issued an open challenge to any wrestler in Canada. To the delight of the crowd, the theme song to "Beverly Hills Cop" hit - signalling that UWA Hardcore Wrestling star, Lionel Knight, from Ontario was answering the challenge. For those who admire technical contests this match was the easy choice of match of the night as the two men battled for any advantage. Lionel Knight was especially impressive getting tremendous elevation on his suplexes, but Fred la Merveille's continuing interference kept Lionel from getting the win on several occasions. In the end, Fred's interference back-fired as he inadvertently hit Maxime Boyer with the U.S. flag setting up Lionel to get the pin at 9:35. After the match Maxime Boyer took out his frustrations by attacking Fred la Merveille. Damian, the God of War, came to the ring to publicly berate Franky the Mobster for pulling out of Un F'N Sanctioned. Damian was scheduled to face Franky the Mobster at Un F'N Sanctioned until Franky pulled out of the event. IWS Human Resources Director, Joseph FitzMorris came to the ring to talk Damian into allowing the show to continue. Unfortunately (for FitzMorris), a chance remark by the HR Director about Damian being uptight "because his shorts were too tight" led to Damian snapping and FitzMorris taking a beating - climaxing in Damian's "Das Boot". Perennial underdogs, Twiggy and Pornstar Juan, won the chance to take part in a Medley match by lasting ten minutes in the ring with the Soprano Family: Tomassino and "Paranoid" Jake Matthews at Scarred For Life. They lasted an extra thirty seconds at Un F'N Sanctioned before being eliminated at the hands of Tomassino and Matthews. The SLI-USA had already been eliminated at 8:40 by Sexxxy Eddy and Lufisto. The two veteran teams battled in and out of the ring with Lufisto mainly fighting Matthews inside the ring while Eddy and Tomassino brawled outside the ring. The match turned on the interference of Special Guest Bell-Ringer Jimmy Stone who threw his lot in with the Soprano Family. Jimmy Stone was bitter that having beaten Kevin Steen in the biggest match of his life at Scarred For Life, his reward was to ring the bell at the Medley. One of the most promising cruiser-weights in Quebec, Velvet Jones, made his IWS ring debut at Un F'N Sanctioned. The deck was stacked against Velvet a little bit on Saturday: making his IWS debut at our biggest show of the year, saddled with a his non-wrestling valet as his tag team partner in a handicap match against perhaps the best cruiser-weight in all of Canada, Dan Paysan. The Dapper Don took adavantage of the situation to score the pinfall victory on D'Vyne after 10:00. For those with an appetite for death-defying stunts and high spots, the six man ladder match for the IWS Canadian title was the hands down favourite for match of the night. Some fans have even gone so far (with a slight touch of hyberbole) as to describe the match as "the best ladder match i've ever seen" or "the best ladder match of all time!" All six men put their health, their careers, their very lives on the line to deliver a spectacle that led to the fans chanting about halfway through "This match RULES!" In the end, despite the best efforts of Fred la Merveille to end Kenny's title reign by ending Kenny, the IWS Canadian champion defended his title by climbing to haul down his belt. IWS Ring Announcer and Commentator, Brian the Guppie confided in me before Un F'N Sanctioned that he was most looking forward to the professional opportunity to introduce Sabu to Montreal. "It's like collecting hockey cards," he told me, "There are certain guys you just want to be able to say - I announced for him. Sabu is near the top of that list." Unfortunately for Guppie, he never got that chance as the Green Phantom and Dru Onyx tried to gain an early advantage in their match by jumping Pierre Carl Ouellet for a two on one beat-down. Just when things looked bleakest for PCO however, the lights went out - to the roar of the crowd - and Sabu made his appearance in the ring. The four men brawled all over the Medley. Including PCO and the Green Phantom stampeding through the IWS merchandise section and sending me scrambling for cover as they destroyed my merchandise table - twice. PCO and Phantom continued to fight into the balcony culminating in a heart-stopping moment when PCO sent the Green Phantom crashing off the balcony and into (and through) three tables below. With the Green Phantom unconscious, Dru Onyx was easy pickings for Sabu and PCO who pinned Onyx for the win at 15:00. They say that you can have twenty years of experience or you can have one year of experience repeated twenty times. IWS Owner, PCP Crazy F'N Manny, always makes a great deal out of the fact that he has been in every IWS Fans Bring the Weapons match; that he has the most experience. But he keeps making the same mistakes as well. Manny always arranges for Fans Bring the Weapons matches so that he can punish his enemies - always forgetting that he is putting himself in an environment where they can punish him as well with what the fans sometimes refer to as "Weapons of Manny Destruction". Each Fans Bring the Weapons match has its own unique flavour. This match was not the bloodiest and most brutal - that was probably 2005. This match didn't have the most light tubes - that was probably 2003. This is not to say that there weren't plenty of light tubes and brutality, there always is. What this match did have was perhaps the best story and the most entertaining, imaginative weapons. As one fan said, "Not the most hardcore/garbage match of the FBTW I've seen : certainly the most entertaining." My personal favourite weapon was a custom designed hardcore cow-bell made for Beef Wellington. More cow-bell Beef! More cow-bell! The
match turned on the sudden appearance of retired IWS referee, Bakais,
who came to the ring to replace injured IWS official Jay Charismo.
Bakais had been fired (and beaten up) by Manny at Praise the Violence
in January during his retirement ceremony. Bakais got his revenge
last night, attacking Manny with light tubes to the cheers of the
crowd. Beef Wellington pinned Manny for the win at 20:30.
